Definition of the term N1

I've heard the term n1 being used in part names, i.e spoon n1, N1 crank pulley,Apexi N1.

But i don't know what it means or stands for, can nayone shed some light?

i thought it may be a race series or a type of metal.

You`re right. Group N is a race series. In some countires like mine has subcategoreis: N1,N2 etc. Group N - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I believe N1 is a set category for endurance racing in Japan. Don't quote me on that though.
