Is it possible to use a DC2 ITR Ecu as a replacement on a EK4 SiR?

I know the fueling etc will be different but will it run the car without

any issues?

listen to vtec6000. i ran my ek4 on a ctr ecu and i didn't run aswell as it should have at all. and that would be a little closer to an ek4 ecu than an itr one.

Both will have different maps to begin with. When in open loop mode which IIRC is below 50% throttle the car can make some small adjustments to fuel. However in closed loop when you give it more than the 50% throttle (for example) , it will pretty much fuel like an ITR and at the full top end of the rev range the injectors will max themselves as they do on the ITR / SiR tegs....not sure if they do on the stock EK4 ecu.......although it shouldn't damage they B16 engine, it WILL make it run like crap.

Other way around mate, closed loop is part throttle and open loop WOT;)

In my previous SIR ,I had a ITR ecu, with CTR cams...the car worked like a beast..

Fuel was also great. The ECU is plug and play (P73)

Don't talk a load of rubbish. NO ecu that is not mapped correctly is going to run properly. REGARDLESS of what it "FEELS" like! :blabla:

In my opinion you should swap your oem ecu for a fully programmable one (hondata, apexi power fc, etc.) and if you have access to a dyno. BUTT dyno usually DON'T work.

I went ahead and got a chipped OBD1 ecu and I"ve been running a tweaked

base map until I can complete my mini build.
