Dales B18'd EK9 Build

I know that but if they were not ek9 headlights then they wouldn't have Stanley printed on them or have the extra port on the back, I understand they don't have black inserts I just don't know why.

The extra port will be for automatic headlight adjusters which ek9's dont have to make it lighter!!

They are defo standard civic lights

And its not black inserts EK9 lights are black chrome.

Well quick update:

Got the gearbox rebuilt and cured the noise, they guy that done it commented that one of the bearings was hanging out and surprised it never came through the gearbox casing! :O .. anyway gearbox is super smooth and super quiet now even the mugen diff makes no noise :)

Wasnt keen on the carbon bucket drivers seat that the car came with and it was super uncomfortable so managed to source a standard recaro:

Got a 8000k hi/lo hid kit ordered and fitted:

IMG_0710.jpg

Also some white led number plate light bulbs ( see pics )

The teg wheels had green centre caps which did not match the car at all so got some red ones on there now:

Nice little delivery through the door as well in the shape of a spoon N1 backbox :D :

Cheers Dale.

brand new n1 mmmmm
btw your rear lights have been changed to non ek9 ones

Edit: the fog lights have been wired up incorrectly into the rear lights and also the switch is on when its off and makes the bottom bit of the light the fog light, if that makes any sense.

Again another annoying little thing i will be sorting in time.

Thanks

Dale.

Anyway thanks for the comments :)

Well its officially off the road from today onwards, the tax is due and Ive been off sick from work for a while now so best save the money I have.

Soo an ideal excuse to really crack on with building something special, Im sticking with n/a though :D

Lots of things planned wont go into too much detail yet but along the lines of,

Bc racing coilovers
Rota Slips with R888's
Alot of chassis bracing including a cage
Spoon B-pipe and header
Some form of cams and valvetrain setup with pullys
New intake possibly AEM
Flocked dashboard
Piano black painted roof panel
Front and rear bumpers repainted
New full lenth radiator
Few bits of powder coating within the engine bay - rocker ect..
Alot of uprated bushes and camber arms ect..

Then see how we go from there, just need to get working again to bring the funds in.

Thanks for looking

Dale.

Update time:

Kicked things off with a strip out of the rear seats, all the rear plastics will come out when I get the the 6 point roll cage as it mounts on the rear wheel arch.

The crinkle paint is awful stuff!

Back to bare metal and holes masked off.

Then the fun started

Overall im very happy with it only thing is i think it might look a bit too much under the engine bay but i suppose its all nice and smooth now and wont take two minutes to rub down and respray white if i change my mind when it goes back on.

Ordered some annodised nuts from tegiwa for when it goes back on the car
IMG_0851.jpg

Also as i found out the front lights had been possibly changed to ordinary civic lights so purchased some proper ones:

IMG_0853.jpg

Alot more to come.. carnt wait to get paid and start ordering stuff :)

Thanks for looking

Dale.

Nice mate, quite like the splashy rocker. ;)

Those lights will make the world of difference too.

nice build up mate, your car looks mint. Rocker is ROCKING haha!!

goodwork dude :)

Cheers guys much appreciated :)

Yeah looking forward to see the lights fitted.

Dale.

Looks good Dale! Just started stipping the back of mine out now, the amount of seam-sealer Honda used is ridiculous, having an absolute mare getting it all out!

Well the car has been off the road for around 6 month, decided if bought a run around I could start to gather enough decent parts to build what I want.

I,ve moved house twice since its been in storage so hence the photos of it being on a trailer ect..

Ill let the pictures do most of the talking with a couple of notes here and there.

I ONLY EVER SEEM TO CARRY MY DAMM IPHONE SO DONT EXPECT ANY QUALITY FROM THE PICTURES JUST YET :(

All comments welcome good or bad :)
