Guys im trying to decide whAt to do.
Current car settings.
B16B motor stroked to 1.8 with ITR internals, running on CTR header, 5zigen exhaust, inatake, CTR Ecu.

I have the following options:
crome setup un a p30 chipped ecu for about U$450 already tuned.
Hondata S300 on a Hondata Socketed ECUs (from king motorsports) that is being sold for 400 bucks + 100 harness (OBD2b to OBD2A) + 200 tuning = 700 bucks.

What would be the best thing to do? Go crome or hondata?

Im running crome, ITR engine, I/H/E, 142 Kw atw. youll find for what you wanna achieve, crome is good enough to do get the job done.as long as the tuner knows what hes doing.

Which one of those your tuner use?

If you are deciding based on the options, I'll go for the Honda S300

I'm a crome fan myself, but you have to have it tuned anyway so ask your local (and competent) tuner what he is best with.

The thing is taht there are very little options for tuners in here.
There are only a couple or cars in here with hondata that I know, 2 i think.
One or them self tuned the car that isnt the best thing to do.
Crome is a new thing in here, and there is only 1 person that tunes it and install it. He has been working with crome for 4 or 5 months, and he has tuned only 3 cars. Ive talked to him and it seems he knows his wrk.
So im not sure what to do.

where are you based?

Lima, Peru, South America.

By the way, haltech has an official dealer and tuner here, but I dont need and dont want to pay for one.
Most of the times we get hte parts in USA, or buy them through shops in here that imports them from usa mainly.
Im not planning to build the car any more than how it is now.

Im currently running with the issues I posted in this thread.....
http://www.ek9.org/forum/engine/6822-setup-question-check-engine-light.html
Im looking really to get it tuned for the best performance for the setup.
I could get an ITR ecu, + harness and solve the check engine light (guess it isnt nothing big) but it will cost me around 450 bucks. And for that money I can get it tuned by crome or for a little bit more go the hondata route. But i dont wanna spend money if its useless.
Maybe i can get an ITR (JDM) base map for the hondata and start from there?
But this can be done also fro the crome am I right?

Thanks for the help

By the way, due to local laws, cars cant be driven with RHD, so RHD are converted to LHD before going into the streets. Used cars can be imported from Japan and converted to RHD. in here ellanosv has also his ek9 converted to LHD.
We have a couple of DC2, DC5 and Ek9, here, but most of the ek9 are being used for track competitions.
In my cars case, in orther to have the closes to factory, the EK9 was completely swapped to a EK4 chassis (with sunroof hahahaha). chassis reinforcements, doors, front fenders, bumpers, rear hatch, suspension, swaybars, etc where from the EK9.
Only rear fenders, rear side windows and rear windshield (hatch window), and steering rack are the ones form the EK4. Ah also the dashboard.

Ill take new pics as soon i finish changing some things.
But heres a pic a took a couple of weeks ago.

Iva already changed the spoiler for a CF spoon style, im changing drivers side headlight (its fogged an scratched), it has a mugen "style" front lip, but ive alreaby bought an original mugen one (for U$100 + painting).

This is a pic i took when I picked the car up. The other car is my 1998 EK4 that im selling right now. The EK4 is standing on 15" desmond regamaster and TEIN SS coilovers.

where are you based?

Im still looking for info.
Im not sure what route to go.
Ive registered in hondata forum and was looking for a s300 ITR basemap but the one i found isnt available.

there are millions of options for tuning a honda but what dino said is most important:
