Hey all,

Just on the way home from work a min ago and decided to see what top end was, was a bit strange and now im confused...

This is because i got to what was an indercated 125 on the speedo and it held back dropped down to 120 then bk on the power again, it is ment to be delimited and converted to mph...

Anybody had a similar experence??

Any help welcome :D
 
Sounds like your delimiter is not working IMO....

Speedos always tend to over-read anyhow, & if it has been converted KM/H to MPH it might not be too accurate....

Could well have been hitting the 112MPH cut-out i reckon....
 
had exactly the same get it to about 128 mph and it just sort of stops and makes sort of a droning noise not like bouncing off the limiter in any gear just like well a drone, and mines ment to be delimeted as well and converted to mph.

I thought ek9s would get to about 140- 145mph?

i spoke to a guy the other day with a b18c in a ep2 and he said the same happens to him!?
 
Mine is still limited, it cuts out at 120 on the clock but true reading is 113mph GPS (road angel plus). As above sounds like something hasnt been done.
 
Yeah definetly sounds like their not delimited guys...
 
okay thanks for that! makes sence!! I'm guna take snooper to work with me and test it on the way home form work tonight!! Then i will know!

yeah mine is exactly the same. With both engines! It flies up to around 125(speedo) 119MPH GPS then cuts out, back down then back up and so on. Mine was converted to MPH but obviously something is still limiting the top speed as im only at around 7500RPM.

Wasnt so bad with the B16B but on the B18 its well annoying as it gets there so easily. Need that taken off.

yer it is behind the dash and not at the gearbox!! should it be wired in at the gearbox like it says it should be in some instructions i have found...?? :S
 
Is it just imports that are limited? as my VTI-S Gets to 142mph no bother
 
Just removed the CKSeed Device from behind my dash and all is well!! all the funny things the dash was doing have stopped and is now back in KMH, am planning to wire it in to the gearbox speed sensor, does anybody know exactly where the sensor is on the gearbox??

Mine used to do that until i got my spoon ECU, Now it goes right off the clock and back round to zero...oops
