Ok this is mainly aimed at the likes of Steven...

I have my new shell to build up and swap bits over and i want some more track orientated coilovers as the teins i have are a tad "walloy".

Now, I have been looking at buddyclub N+ but they've gone up about £150 recently as im sure i saw them at £700 a few months ago.

In terms of me.... I have done 1 trackday but have spent time drifting (i know this isn't the same but i have a rough feel for set-up).

So to the point, im after suggestions on what coilovers people reccommend. I would like dampening independant of ride height as i don't want the ride height interrferring.

With having a look around and chatting to some people and what they use i have a few suggestions.

HSD's
BC N+
D2's
Daiyama

Budget will be whatever is deemed nessecary. Application will be quite a number of trackdays yearly with a view to competition.

Ta Much!

personnelly i'd go with either the buddyclubs or the hsd's. no experience of any but i know the d2's are lacking in build quality!

I know they arn't on your list but BC Racing coilovers are very highly regarded for the money - few reviews on here.

meister'r is the way to go,have them on my track integra and are far better than the d2's i did run, plus they give you a choice of spring rates

Id be thinking about high end Teins,HSD,BuddyClubs or Ohlins.

BC racing are highly rated for the 500 odd they cost though :nice:

If you're thinking of spending the big bucks then HSD, Ohlins, Apexi or Teins are all worth a shout but if you're looking at the lower end of the market I'd say Meister R, I have a lot of friends who run them on their track focused cars and they all sing their praises, I've actually just bought a set of Zeta Rs for my DC2, I've also heard good things about BC Racing.

I run the BC racing coilovers on my 9 (this is what was on the car when i bought it) they are a very capeable coilover on track & would recomend them to any one. There price is very good also! :nice:

Quite a few of the lads over on Hondas-on-track run the HSD's on there track cars with very good results, i havent used them myself but heard nothing but good things about them & would say they are defo to be considered!

If you are looking to compete with the car in the future & budget is not an issue then i would be going for Nitron's or Ohlins:naughty:

Thanks for all your input guys.

Now have about 7 ways in which i can go!

Budget isnt an issue to a point, but think the ohlins and co are a bit beyond me!

what about the tein circuit master's?have a look on japperformanceparts.com they usually have the likes of cusco, tein etc for sale

MeisterR all the way, had them for 2 years now and no problems at all,

For the price and quality, they can't be beaten.

ive always found tein soft.
im running buddyclub racing spec coilovers and i find them immense for the track i know its a slight rise in price compared with the others mentioned but well worth a look.

Another 1 for Meister R. At that price bracket there a good coilover, Really good on the road soaks all the bumps up a treat and had mine on track a few times now but for track you really do need to play around with the spring rates, preload and the dampening setting are near on maxed out but they do hold up well.
My brother has the BC's on his GT4 and i find them really crashy on the road all most like D2's (Had theses a few years back now and there dreadful) but on the track they performed well but again play with the spring rates ETC..

My next suspension very soon is going to be Quantum's all built to your specifications and there only down the road from me so handy for any changes i want doing.

If you are serious about about track time and are looking to compete, i would look at Nitron, AST, Ohlins and Black Art Design would be worth a shout too.

How much time do you spend going round corners and on the brakes on a track? I'd spend the money where it counts :)
