whats up Everyone, i recently got my car dyno'd but came across a problem, i can't make any more power, my rev limit is 10,000 and my car continues to make power all the way up into the 9's but i can not break the 170's with HP, and it's way lower than we thought it would do. I have a 2.5" full exhaust so we know that the exhaust is not a problem, the only thing i can think to do is get oversized valves, and lightened rocker arms but that is a lot of $$$$,so I do not know what else to do any suggestions would be great:nice:

what kind of fuel is being used? What kind of ECU are you using? Who is tuning it? is it stock bore? What kind of dyno, that is EXTREMELY low numbers...

Get a better header to start.

You're using something with large and SHORT primaries. Good if you are supercharged.

Post up your chart with your AFR.

cams that large also have to be degree'd to work properly... why such large cams anyway?

How's your leakdown? :p

honest to goodness question though....

How's your compression?

im using a mix of 93/110 with a chipped p28 ecu using cromedate gold, it's a mustang dyno, compression is 13.1 stock bore, it has even compression and damn near perfect vacuum , the cams gears are set at stock timing because we did not clay the head so we don't know if there with be piston to head, piston to valve contact, so we don't want to risk it yet,and i am using stage 3 cams because i got them for $100 brand new, the guy selling was desperate for money, and the tuning is being done by me and my friends who own the performance shop, we all know how to tune, but we have people watching different things to make sure everything is good, so it's a combo of tuners, and if i had a scanner i would scan the graph and post it up,

you don't need a scanner, just do a screen shot ;) pull up an image of the dynograph on your computer, then press print screen button "prtscn" then open up microsoft paing and click "ctrl V" or paste. then save the image and then you can upload it to the site.

also how does the car "feel" does it feel like a 170whp car? I have heard mustang dyno's read low but you should be somewhere north of 200whp...

what rpm does it stop making power? Its a 1.8 right?

A lot of it is the dyno. A stock ITR for example does a low 150 on a mustang dyno. And I think you should clay the head if you feel it's holding you back with your tuning.

i really need to, this car has so much power waiting to be unleashed, but i don't have the time or money to pull the head and check, plus it's my daily, so i would need some time off from work and school...so i will try to work it out so it happens on a weekend

building your daily? BIG MISTAKE!! You should never overbuild your daily, you need to get a daily...

everyone of my friends have built daily's k20 turbo, built TT 300zx.....b20 vtec turbo....etc etc etc, but im in college,so that's my only down side, if i wasn't in college or if i lived at home and didnt have to pay rent it would not be an issue
