Okay so i just tried opening the drivers door with the key and i noticed the inside lock doesn't go back fully meaning the lock isnt releasing

The only problem i can think it being is i just recently changed the door cards, they came off an EJ9 so they are made to fit mine so might just be that ive fitted incorrectly?

I tried opening it again and it opened so it seems as if its stuck on soemthing or begginning to seize!

Any suggestions?

Cheers
Sean

Probably just the weather man has happened to a few of mine, take the door card off and grease up all the joins of the mechanism, worked for me every time ;)

Your on the comeback tour son ;) nice to see you back :p

Aye man, just grease them up! had the same problem with my ej9 in the winter... pain in the arse, especially when my fob wasn't workin sometime and you have to enter via the boot

Ill try that mate but im sure it something else, as the key does fully turn as if it was going to open the door but just not enough for the lock to open then after a few trys it eventually works

Tomorrow ill grease all the locks mechanisms t see if that makes any difference, thanks Gav

I cant even get in through my boot via the key as it just doesnt trn whatsoever so ill probably end up needing a new lock for the boot just incase i cant get in from either of the doors :nerv:

i think it might also be down to age, my ek9 passenger door dosnt always like to unlock and my friend had the same on his jordan.

he took out the locks and gave them a good clean and they work like new

Still not got round to doing this yet :/ this will definetly be the plan for tomorrow as getting in my car is becoming a second job

Happened me last winter, had only the fob on the key to unlock the door, no key for boot :/ so the fob would unlock the car and disable the alarm but the solenoid wouldn't move back for the sensor to register and open the rest of the locks. All was sorted when i finally got in an greased the door lock mechanism :nice:
