i recently bot a set of adjustible coilovers, just a cheapy off ebay as im a student and will get better as i find a job .

but to the matter at hand, when i put them on the car, the camber arm was at a very steap angle, alot more than normal. The only other thing to take into account was that they where at full length and iv not tried it with them tightened up yet. but the ? i would like to ask is can u tell the difference between eg shocks and ek shocks just by looking at them as the seller was a bit dodgy and im conserned that they arnt ek shocks?

p.s sorry for any shocking spelling

From what i can gather you can use the front EG shocks on the EK but not the rears ?? someone will comfirm.

^^ yes the front are the same the rears are almost the same only difference is that eg ones have a larger "fork" but you can use the eg ones in your car without any problem.

so just to confirm the above, i can use the fronts but not the back due to the forks being longer? if this was the case could i simply make up new forks for it to fit? and only if they are the wrong shocks.

Well i have the front 1's on and they seem to be fine but i have to wait till my bro is finished welding my arches befor fiting the rears.

One is fork type and one is eye type.

They are completely different

dont be so silly boys the eye type fitments only came on jdm sir egs and tegs
all other egs use a fork type rear only difference is that the fork bit at the bottom on the eg is wider than the ek so when you stick it on the ek theres a gap between the two fork points and the bush in the lca
just get some washers made or lots of thin washers and tighten the bitch up job done
