Starting to get a rattling noise coming from the car when it goes between 3200 revs to about 4500, sounds like its coming from the front left of the car, the passenger side. Would anyone know what this could be or anything I could try out to find what it is? I replaced the upper control arm, ball joint and bushings. Could it be a wheel bearing or what? It sounds like metal rattling or vibrating very loudly.

Cheers if anyone can help

Exhaust heat shield?

I was thinking this as I'm almost sure it only started happening since I fitted my new exhaust..

AC belt tentioner or dist bearings.

What do you mean dist bearings? It also needs a wheel bearing so could this cause it? And is there any way to find out if it is the AC belt tensioner? AC was taken out of it too by the way.

Use a screwdriver as a stethoscope to listen to dist. Check AC tentioner has been removed.

i had a rattle on my old car at about the same rpms as you, the exhaust clamp had come slightly loose on mine.

if it was a wheel bearing wouldnt you hear it when you jacked the car and spun the wheel?
