Camshafts (S2S2,b16b cams,crower)

It depends on your goal.

There are lot of good cams on the market but keep in mind if you want bigger cams (for instance skunk2 pro series) you need change the pistons as well. (because of the bigger cr.)

I use EK9 cams in my VTi (B16A) and I'm satisfied with it.

btw. you need some others modification too:

header
ECU (P28 or P30)
valvespring and retainers (because of the higher rev)
intake manifold
air intake
exhaust system

Do i really need to change my IM let's say CTR IM, i've heard that it has the same TB diameter w/c is 60mm, correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes the EK9 TB. is the same as VTi (60 mm.) but the im. is different. (runner length, diameter, port matching)

EK9 or integra im. is better than VTi. (EK9 and teg. has a little bit different too)
Skunk2 pro im. is good as well.:nice:

Integra tb. is 62 mm.

any idea how much hp will these set up add-up?

b16b cams, type r valve springs and retainers plus crome ecu :)

A buddy of mine fitted CTR cams to his B16a6.
That plus piggy back, I/H/E gave him a 20kw / 20nm jump.

yup you cant just change cams and expect big numbers! you need the whole package and a good tune!

me to. skunk 2 cams fuked my vti up.

skunk2 cams are great but you need proper fire power in your engine to get them to do there charmend

cams along is a waste of money (IMO) and in a b16 if the engine is stock i wont bother putting cams unless there are other goodies to be installed also.

if i change to ctr cams, type r valvetrains, only a minimal gain on my b16a w/ IHE on it?

I think either Catcams 2501614 or 2501618 might be a good shout, the duration isn't that much longer and the lift isn't that much higher, but allegedly they have a more aggressive ramp so are open wider for longer and should be good for stock compression as you won't be losing any dynamic compression like you do with long duration cams.

Tbh in my opinion i wouldn't swap CTR cams and inlet mani and retainers and all that for a not very big gain....i'd save up a bit more and get something that wil make a noticable difference.
I have a B16A JDM engine in my current EG6 SiR II
It has Feels camshafts and Feels retainers and springs along with a Feels ecu.
It has full exhuast system to go with but you don't have to change your inlet mani and throttle body....i guess this may help free up a few more horses but its not essential to do when fitting cams.
the engine made 201hp when feels had it in Japan as all parts were fitted by feels them selves.
In the Uk it made 186hp over a year ago now, as i think feels used 101 or 102 ron fuel in japan when they dynoed it. cheeky bastards lol.
TBH In my opinion they are absolutely perfect for a daily driver with extra power, with the map feels put on the ECU at low rev's in town it can be a bit jerky but this can be overcome by being in the next gear to keep rev's up a bit.
i have my limiter set at 9400RPM but don't really go past 9k.
they are alot of money but it can be done, don't think that all cams are wild and un driveable. i use my car every day you can tell it has performance cams but only once your in Vtec do they seem to make a difference and it is a big difference it revs so freely. will happily send you a video if you want.
