Hi just got a quick question... Where on earth can you buy an engine from?

I've done so much web research but im pretty sure im looking in all the wrong places.
I want a b16a2 which i think is from the ek4?
or a h22a2? from the prelude?

also would both of these swap into a ej9 ? or am i being a bit optomistic?

can somebody please tell me where i could get one from, and also what sort of price i should be expecting to pay?

you can swap B, H or K engines in EJ9, money talks :)
 
The b16a would fit handy enough, not sure about the h22 but have seen it done in eg's. You would pick one up from people breaking their cars on forums or sale sites like donedeal etc
 
from the money you will probly spend converting your ej9 into an sir or watever i presume most likely bseries swap u woud be better off just buying a clean ek4, you will get upto the 3000 euro mark fairly fast. unless u have an unreal ej9 that u want to keep, id say sell it, and go shopping for something else :)
 
You can get engines from the "for sale" sections on boards like these, you can have a look on Pistonheads etc. It ain't that difficult. Of course, getting an engine from someone with a good rep on a board will involve less risk (but it's not without risk, never is) than buying from a stranger on Pistonheads. Complete B16 swap with parts like timing belt etc will probably be 800-900 quid if you want to do it right and swap it in yourself. H22 I'm not sure.

About wether they will fit in an EJ9, search! So much info to be found and don't feel like writing what others have already done like a thousand times.
 
B16A2 far easier to swap and cheaper doing it myself to my EJ now got everything from ebay lol but agree with the above plenty on here you will find what you want i did :)
 
Engines come about all the time just keep an eye out or do some searching!
