New to the forum so thought i would throw up some pics of the EK.
Car is now being built to be used on track with a flavour of Kanjo inspiration too.
Also im a bit of a clean freak so bay is part tucked for now, and even though it will become a dedicated trackcar, i will still detail it.

Had a blast at Curborough, and will be going everytime i can.

You can see in the some of the on track pics the suspension aint the greatest, but for ebay coilovers they performed ok, more than adequate for my first time out on track.

Plans are:
S80 LSD box
B16b head
b18c inlet
Buddyclub/toda rep exhaust manifold.
Work NRFOURs with toyos/federals
Meister R zeta s/r depending on availability.
Xbrace + upgraded struts

Few other changes to keep her tidy and original.

C+C welcome

Like the white vinyl... I'd maybe add some more at the front?

Thats the plan eventually, im still looking at designs to go with, dont want to make it a replica or too much fast n furious.
Trying to find the right balance

Thought i would update this instead since not got a build up yet.

so as far as original plans:
S80 LSD box: purchased
B16b head: purchased
b18c inlet: purchased
Buddyclub/toda rep exhaust manifold: on the hunt for a manifold now, tegiwa toda rep looks the one to go for.
Work NRFOURs with toyos/federals: scrapped the idea of toyos, going to go all out with yoko advans
Meister R zeta s/r depending on availability: alsmost
Xbrace + upgraded struts: YES!

So been considering a few things to do lately with a couple of the planned items and have chaanged my mind a little. Going to go all out on the 15" works and get Advan AD08 or similar, then have federals for the rotas and keep those for normal usage.
The manifold hunt kept bringing me towards the tegiwa toda rep, been offered a Blox tri-y with some damage and also a buddyclub but all about seem to be damaged on the bottom, which i dont want. There is a tegiwa toda rep coming up for sale soon so may just hold out for that as i know its in good condition.
Xbrace fitted (i believe was from a seller off here)
Tegiwa front 3 point brace fitted, finally got one of these.

Ive purchased another EK4 to break as it has some good parts
The parts i want are:
Meister Rs
Buddyclub LCAs and camber arms
genuine ASR brace
Seeker v2 carbon spoiler

it comes with EK9 5 lugs all round, but unsure weather its worth doing the EK9 5lug swap onto mine or just selling on.

Purchased a few more items from buddyclub, Shifter knob, oil cap and rad cap.
But the rad cap doesnt fit aftermarket rads, which sucks balls.

Ive started to paint the interior aswell, ive decided to be a little different (atleast in my head) and go with wrinkle black through out. Still undecided on whether to run front carpet or not....

Also decided to gut the rear stock spoiler of all the under plastics, cut my rear bumper strips out, and remove the rear EK9 lip for all thems extra Kanjo point... not really for that reason, i just fancied a change.

Whole car looks good! :nice: Liking the rear x-brace, after one myself.

Cool little car! I'm digging the front brace and shifter knob especially...

That intake is sucking hot air only. :)

Cheers mate, not sure weather its the usual placebo effect of fitting new parts, but compared to my old 2 ebay (flimsy) braces, it does make a difference on rigidity.

Back at curborough in a few weeks so the laptimes will tell all!

I was a little disapointed with the front brace, i was expecting more visual impact. May be changing the colour on it.

The crossover noise produced from that intake more than outways (IMO) the negatives, plus ive got a cold feed to it, and im making an air duct out of an old light for use on track and strip...

Finally rid of the Rotas and Nankang combo (awful)
Replaced with SSR type C, Federal RSR upfront, Toyo T1R on the rear
Ditched the stock exhaust manifold for a PLM Tri Y
Fitted Genuine Takata Drift lll harness
Meister Rs now on
Carbon fibre EK9 spoiler, eventually i ditched the mid spoiler too and removed rear lip
Finished painting interior

Car has been transformed!

Decided now to go all out on the vinyl design and complete the Kanjo look with window nets too

Also got a few small aero parts to come but nothing ridiculous yet....
