Hello there, got some primer and black paint laying around and wanted to know how easy it is to do the bump strips?

Also I'd like to ask how easy the bump strips are to remove?

Would be nice to gloss black them with my Tahitian green car i'd reckon.

Thanks for any information.

:nice:

You'll have to strip out most of the interior (door cards and rear plastics) to get to the side mouldings and remove both bumpers to get to the bumper mouldings.
Why don't you just spray them Tahitian green to match the colour of your car instead of glass black??
Hope this helps:nice:

I wouldn't try and take them off mate, just a hassle lol you would be aswell to just paint them tbh man, gettin them off is a nightmare. As said involves basically ripping your interior out... never fun :(
good luck :))

Well I've got a stripped rear of the car and the door cards look like a doddle, the only reason why I don't want to spray them the same is because I've got loads of gloss black around and I think getting them to match the rest may be different.

I know the one's on the bumpers will no doubt be hard, but the door and wing ones? do they just pop in?

Cheers for the input so far guys. :)

the strips on the doors and wind have these wee clips on them, you need to squeeze from one side (probably with pliars) whilst pushing and gently pull from the other side. If you have 2 people wont be that hard but by yourself its quite frustrating tbh

Ahh right, doesn't sound hugely bad, but cheers for the heads up. Will maybe see and make an attempt at some point. :)

Thank you

if you are carefull enough you can take them off without ripping the interior out. take them off from the outside, thats what most do !

Will have a look tomorrow no doubt, I mean all the rear interior is out at the moment, so I doubt i'll have much issues unless it's the doors or the wing ones to remove. The bumpers will have to wait I think, but wanna at least try it out :)

Cheers Lyall.
