I had the same issue on my brothers EK9, new discs and pads (yellows) motul fluid, Hard stops to bed in, drove to the ring, mid lap they were getting too HOT and just not giving the bite. next day they were spot on.
I've always found the Yellows and other performance pads need curing before you give it some.
a 15 minute practice/qualifying before the race is ideal. Give them **** for 15 minutes, park them up for a few hours and cool off then they're all good.
Sorry for thread hi-jack. An interesting read on the Yellowstuffs.
I have a trackday next week and I think my current pads could do with a change as im not sure they will last a 4hr session.
Has anyone used Mintex M1144 pads and changed to the Yellowstuffs? Looking to see if anyone has a comparison between both as they are both similar priced.
Yellowstuffs seems to be ceramic, not sure on the mintex build up but they are for fast road/light track. My current set up in OEM Legend discs, Mintex M1144, ATE Superblue and braided lines.
I used to have yellow stuff pads in the front of my car and didnt like them at all. Once things got hot they just didnt inspire any confidence in them stopping you.
