i think you are meant to gradually introduce an engine to fully synthetic oil unless it has been used since new.
there has got to be an external factor, as I can't see the standard ECU blowing it up, or as already mentioned a Honda engine to go like that.
was it raining?
Im not sure if the engine was ran on fully sythetic before, but surely if it wasnt it wouldnt have blown the up if it wasnt
When the Spoon ECU was fitted to my EK9 it went to 9500, n i have dyno print outs of it and its exact top rpm limit was 9490.
How you liking the spoon ECU anyhow??
Sorry to hear about the engine.
I was actually thinking of getting a long arm CAI, think I may pass on one after reading what happened to your engine
there is no way a cold air intake will blow up your motor, that has nothing to do with it...
There is if he drove through a massive puddle and sucked a load of water into the engine and hydro locked it?
sounds like hydraulic`d motor to me due to the long arm CAI
you cant blame the intake for that:
-you can install a water bypass valve for $40 which makes that impossible
-you can stop driving like an idiot through puddles (im not calling you an idiot just anybody who floors it through puddles without a bypass valve on there CAI)
sounds like hydraulic`d motor to me due to the long arm CAI
