Black EK9 Turbo

Hi mate.... quite interested in this but am a bit sceptical about running that kind of power on non forged internals, or have I missed something? ..... will it not suffer in the long term?.

I just PM'd you this incase it didn't send, bad signal whet working!

Hello there mate. Ricky at race tech has been turboing stock blocks for years now and if you would like to find any information out feel free to give him a call, like he says, it is safe to do so but of course is always a risk, if you go round on boost setting 4 whacking it all day, then no you are going to get problems, but if you treat it right and maintain it well, then you will have less risk, I mean any high performance car turbord, you always do run a higher risk as said, this engine has been running like this i would say over 17 months now, and to this date I have had no problems, I have also had the head re built with the head also being skimmed. The reason they can turbo a stock block b18C4 as the compression is a lot lower! I had planned on keeping and has had a new 40 mm wastegate pipe put on as a posed to the 38 mm previous, and in the middle of putting a more flowing system on it, which is now on. Just sorting the decat, will need a tweek on the map once is done! But this has all been stated in the advert, if I have time I shall do that myself and take a drive up there!
I have just yesterday put 6 months tax on her aswell! Any more problems drop me your number! Cheers!

Also another nice thing is! If with a C4 you ever in the unfortunate circumstance get problems. You can pick them up at a very good price!

Thanks for the comprehensive reply mate.... Well, i've had type R's for years now and i'm a honda enthusiast of the slightly more 'mature' variety:D.... but i've never owned a boosted one, thats not to say i'm not completely capable of looking after it as i'm sure you'll want it to go a good home (i know i did when i sold my last DC5!...) which brings me to the question of how would it fare being used on a daily basis? Oh, and which wheels would be sold with her?.

That's the reason I only advertised on the forum and haven't been in a rush to sell, I've had a lot of low balls and like I say I have time on my side.
Being truthful as a daily drive just keep the boost low, if I had to say the only thing you would want to change is where the intake sits maybe re route it so it's not so low, (could be risky in real bad rain, but I know a lot of people who run this styled induction and have had no problems) obv the reason being there is for a cooler feed and where a gap is in the bumper the air hits straight onto it!
And as a daily as to seat, obv as written in the description if you can put up with a bucket then yeah fine, if not you can always opt back to the recaro and sell the bride/rail and be quids in! But I like a nice fixed bucket but each to their own!
Comes with the white wheels which I was originally going to keep!
Drop me your number mate, will be easier!

Thanks a lot vti2010 great words, like I say we have dealt, and in person a few times I just like I am, you are a very genuine guy.

Next, I think in going to leave the scene, time to put some money into bricks and water and get something sensible to drive around! I will be back though! As I love the scene so much!

Yes mate, could you send me some more pictures? Or do you have a build thread somewhere?

What kind of power is the car running?

If you could contact me through email it would be better as i cant pm on here

Okay! Lots of interest! Just this time of year not many people willing to part with their money! Which is understandable.
Car is now ready to go, I have decided i need to get something sensible, I just don't get the time to drive it, new system is on, and 40 mm screamer pipe, but just need to be tweeked into the map, ( Racetech, Sheffield ) before giving the car any proper spirited drive in top boost. Spoke to Ricky, tweek on the map is around £150. Like I say I don't have time to drive it let alone get this done, it just sits in my garage looking pretty! Any information needed, please feel free. Also tax until may 14'

And price has been dropped. To cover this.

Just out of interest josh, how much would it be to have this rebuilt with forged internals if i were to buy it? (Theoretically!) for added peace of mind.....
