hey guys,

looking into security for the car, can anyone recommend the best sort of alarms, trackers etc?

much appreciated, my street for the past few years has suffered with burglary, windscreens being smashed, and a week or so ago a gang of yobo's were smashing wind mirrors off.

Just want a good quality system as im really aware with whats been going on.

I have a Clifford concept 650 mk2 I'm sure it is. It has proximity cencers, tilt detection and a GPS tracker that I can text from my phone and it shows my cars location on Google maps. Good alarm systom for the money.

thats what I have looked into dude, thanks for the comment btw!

how do you get the GPS tracker? that is exactly what I am after?

also if you dont mind, where do you put the sensors/ tracker? would you be able to PM me for ideas? (so public on here dont see for your safety!)

A kill switch is the most looked-over thing. Just recently someone has been suspected of using a jammer for people's alarms and stealing.

Steering lock/quick release too if you have a steering wheel that'll fit one? just so if they do get in, they're not going far

This worked out for my dad. Someone broke the driver's window and got in his 200SX, only to find out it had no steering wheel.

Best alarm is something with proximity sensors
and to prevent theft put a padlock on the steering column behind the pedals...

Also if you wire in a high rated switch between the fuel pump wires the car wont start even with the key.

Well you can imagine they'd look stupid enough. I mean, you break into a car without even checking if there's a steering wheel... Thank God it wasn't stolen, but some thieves are absolutely hopeless haha.

I have no idea where everything is in my car bud. One of my mates owns his own company and he supplayed and fitted everything for me.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Removable steering wheel is great, but most little Twats will then torch the car if they cannot take it.

The best thing to protect your car is a big ******* iron pipe and constant watch.

You can easy take a car if it doest have a steering wheel..a little hard to steer but it can be done..

Haha what an idiot, didn't even notice it had no wheel. They'll probably try steal stuff inside like the radio or the seats if they're prepared.

Unless they're prepared and actually bring their own steering wheel that just happens to fit lol or lift the car onto the back of a truck which happened to a mates neighbors Audi rs4 I think

If it was me stealing the car I'd use a pair of mole grips(vice grips in USA)
Around the stub left by the steering wheel being removed, will be able to steer it then.

Engage the steering lock and take the wheel inside and upstairs is your best bet mate obviously have an alarm etc aswell :p
