Sorry this thread has probably come up a million times! Iv been searching on google for the last hour trying to get my head round all the different exhausts

Just in the middle of a b18 conversion in an ek shell, the best rated exhaust / manifold for power gains? Don't want a custom one

Do like the look of the spoon n1 back box but want a full system, there's a cat back fujitsubo exhaust on eBay.

New to the honda scene btw

the manifold is the part attached to your engine with usually 4 branches joining into one underneath engine, then you have either your cat or decat and then your catback exhaust system,
most jasma stamped manifolds are pretty good, the jasma stamp stands for quality! for eg.g mugen,spoon,5zeigen,toda etc..
saying that id go for the alpha series skunk 2 manifold and a 70mm skunk 2 catback if i was looking for the most power gains!

5zigen mani with rmo1a and decay for me sounds lovely with out being too loud like buddyclubs etc, all depends what you want really and what your budget is

This.

Or maybe look at our Tegiwa exhaust manifold. Proven to make 7bhp over the 98spec 4-1 which is already a good header.

Try to find any independent measurements that will put another header above the 98 spec header, time after time. Have a search. After I had a search my conclusion was:
  • Many cheap after market headers don't reach the performance level of the 98 spec. Not in peak and/or not in average power/torque.
  • Some relatively good priced knock-off headers do offer better performance in some tests, worse in other tests. So not really consistent in terms of proof.
  • The headers that do offer any kind of consistent result over the 98 spec header, cost many times as much while they do not offer thát much extra performance.

That's why I have bought a 98 spec :) For the money of headers like Toda you can also buy a 98 spec and spend the saved money on other mods that will give you more in total for the same money. Or spend it on handling/brakes :)

Il just keep my eye out for a mugen / toda manifold and a decent cat back I think.

Will have to be second hand to save myself a few quid I think, will need to be a decent system though

toda 4-2-1 header & 76mm custom exhaust !!
update intake and then visit a reputable tuner for a remap !!

Should have bought ours. You would have more power. Ours was tested at TDI North a few years ago, they have fitted many over the years and they recommend our EP3 and B-series manifold over any others! Apart from the obvious TODA but who has the money one of those now?

Best thing to do now is, do your own research then come to your own assumption an descision on what's best for your application and current engine spec.

I have the tegiwa manifold and I love it!
Looks great! Great quality and great gains.
Haven't had it dynoed yet, but felt a noticable difference throughout the rev range. Feels much smoother power delivery!

Myers competition manifolds are good!

Looks similar to a Bisimoto V2 & street sweeper, do you have first hand experience with Myers??
