...all are welcome...you have to start somewhere on the road to an EK9...but what in the name of vtec is a "1.4 Si ???

hey dude the best induction kit for your 1.4i would be an aem v2 and if you could find one a 1.5 sohc vtec exhaust manifold both combined will make a big difference when you get to 6000 rpm there is a small changeover like a sohc vtec! savage!

answer to your question - the oem box thats on your car right now

yeah, the thing is.. This engine is SO small, it's hardly worth the money and effort.

Actually, scrap what I just said. I just remembered the 1.4i engine has the gayest airbox ever.

Heres the AEM V2 CAI (upward facing throttle body fitment)

is it possible to use a J's Intake with this car?

Probably.... but not unless you're willing to fabricate some additional bends or have it protruding from your hood.

ERECT WHALE rod for the WIN.

If the picture above is what your motor looks like, it would probably be best if you swapped intake manifolds first, ideally with one that has a throttle body that is placed horizontally instead of vertically.

Not knowing what cars exist in your country, I can only suggest that you either go aftermarket like Skunk2, JG Edelbrock or Honda OEM if you guys have the D16Y8 powered SOHC VTECs.

My advice is to swap the complete single point/dual point injection system with a D16. INcluding all the manifolds and ECU.
That would pick up more power and more tuneability than buying the AEM V2 thing, plus if you get it from the scrap yard, it would be cheaper too.
The from there on you have alot more options for the intake

Instead of asking people from the EK9.org where most have B-series, try D-series.org where everyone has errrm...D-series like your D14
