Hi Guys,

I'm going to be swapping my B16B for JDM B18C (which I still need to source... lol) and was wondering if there were any other bits worth doing to complement the swap.

I was thinking a lightened flywheel, knife edged throttle body and maybe a mugen intake?

New clutch and intake gaskets? and what Id defiantly do is fit a new timing belt along with checking the valve clearances

Good idea guys, so mods wise:

Lightened Flywheel
Some sort of performance clutch
Mugen Intake

Maintenance:
Timing Belt
Valve Clearances
Gaskets
Waterpump
Plugs

When you buy a new engine for swap, you must check all the parts that can be old or damaged with use. And buy new performance parts at time!! Good job!

How are you intending to source the engine? I've got an exceptionally healthly b16b and would love to do this swap but sourcing a ragged B18 then seeing minimal power increase is whats holding me back!

Baffled sump kit and some magnetic plugs.
New thermostat and a new dizzy cap/rotor arm too

when i buy my type r from hmotors. i buy new water pump timming belt all gaskets replace thermostat oilpan gasket few new hoses spark plugs and wires. i still never did head gasket yet waiting on that.

id probably do an oil pump too. and a good exhaust mani if you dont have one already
