Hi,
Fitted a 96 spec B18C w/S80 (JDM) into my '98 EK4, had to use the B16 loom, but used the P73 ECU, all the loom plugs in fine except the sensor on the 2nd inlet branch that the B16 doesn't have (been told its an air temp sensor) is left unplugged as it doesn't have it on the B16 loom, and the engine diagnostic light is on, the one on the induction piping is still plugged in, could that cause it?
When you turn the key two clicks, the diag light disappears as it should then re-appears after 3-4 seconds...then stays on even when the engine is running, the engine itself runs fine, there was a little rattle the very first time it started up for a second, (guessing that's as it hadn't been started for a few weeks), but have started it again multiple times since, and sounds sweet...its all plugged in, only thing left to do is oil change and driveshafts need putting in, all the sensors on the inlet, as well as the lambda are the ones off the b16 so should work fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks
