ive got a b16b in my ek civic and was thinking of dropping a b18c5/6 into it.
is there really that much difference between the 2 in an ek? i know it has more power and torque but is worth doing?

i would consider keeping my current gearbox!

also what parts would i need?

i know i need the:
engine. would these 2 have
ecu. to be from the same car?
dizzy

what about my exhaust and manifold ive got a standard b16b manifold with a mugen twinloop?
and also if i got the engine and ecu from the same year car as mine would i just be plug and play or would i still need a conversion harness?

are there any other parts i would need?

any help appreciated

yes it makes that much of a difference otherwise the DC2-R would have a B16B too.

If you get an engine from the same year as your EK9, then everything is plug and play. You must run a DC2 ecu.

Your exhaust is fine.

i thinks thats what im gonna do then. how much could i get for my b16b engine(without gearbox) and ecu. its got just over 23k on it and runs sweet as a nut.

With that millage if your in the uk your B16B will be worth around £1500 easy
