B16b engine (185ps) £1500

I've just bought a 1997 EK9 with 60K miles on the clock to do a K20 conversion on. As such, the complete engine is for sale.
Included is:

JDM B16B Complete engine (185ps) including all ancillaries and Spoon plug leads
JDM ECU
Engine loom

The engine is in s excellent condition - no smoke anywhere is the rev range - got a couple of people who will vouch for the condition as well.

I'm based in South Wales (near Chepstow) or £120 delivery

Here is a pic for those that haven't seen one before

Are you carrying out the K20 swap yourself or getting someone to do it?

I'm sure Mike will be along soon to answer in full but he's doing the conversion himself. Its old hat to him now and after seeing the engine bay today and the extra effort gone into the wiring, reinforcing the mounts and power steering system its definately going to be a quality job.....and thats without the monster engine that is due very soon :nice:

Sounds good. I wanna do this swap to my EK9 but there seems to be alot of work and hidden costs of carrying out this swap to do it right your suppose to change the subframe from that of a EG or DC2 honda as that will get the engine to sit further back for better handling and reduce the driveshaft angle that involves alot of time and know how. Maybe he could do the swap for me:D

Give him a shout as he seems to find all this conversion malarky suprisingly easy and loves the research side of things. I know he was thinking of doing the conversion as a side line so worth asking him. worse case scenario is that he can advise you on the right bits and let you know which mistakes to avoid to make the job a lot easier :nice:

Cool will give him a pm I have done a good bit of research into it but still theres a few things I dont understand

I'll do anything for money:D

Well I've done two now and know the in's and outs so I may well start doing other peoples cars:)

Did you change the subframe? Also did you keep the power steering?

You have to change the subframe if you use EKK2 mounts but I only did it as my engine will be around 300bhp.

If you are running stockish K20 you can get away with the standard hybrid/hasport mounts which require no mods - but make sure you use at least the stage 2.9 driveshafts.

I'm using a custom Mr2 electro-hyraulic PAS setup but you can use the standard DC5 pump for your EK rack.
