B16a cam choice

The time has come for me to choose a set of cams for my B16a6. I want a drop in cam that does not need much tuning to get to their full potential. I would prefer a set of ITR / CTR cams, but these are proving very difficult to get hold of. I may be able to get my hands on a set of crower 401's for a decent price.

My current mods are as follows;
Megan Racing 4-1 header
2.25" exhaust
Walbaro 255L/hr fuel pump
Blox AFPR set to 45PSI
CC Ultralight flywheel + stage 1 clutch
MSD dissy cap, rotor, coil and 8mm plug leads.
Factory stock bottom end and head.

I have read that the 401's are basically CTR cams. My question is, are they just drop in and go, like the ITR / CTR cams, or would I need cam gears to go with them?
 
You just need to keep your eyes peeled. Try searching these forums, ITR-DC2.COM, CIVICLIFE.net
 
O **** lol, its not like your down the road then. If those crower cams are close then i'd just shoot for them with the required valve train (if needed). You would need cam gears as you will need to degree them in.

Where in South Africa are you from ? I bet its dam hot there at the moment !

I'm from Cape Town. It's actually winter here now, but we had some good weather for the last 2 weeks...

O yeah it would be. I bet your winters are like our summers lol. Is the car tuning scene quite big by you ? It amazes me how much of a world wide thing it actually is sometimes.

Our average temp in winter is between 10-15° celcius.

The tuning scene here in Cape Town is growing. Just a pity we only have acces to 1 track that does not ost event too regularly, so illegal street stracing is big....

Got it buddy. I will get this going in the mail in the next 5 days, got a few to get out at the same time, breather and bezel going over the pond too.

Gents, not only did this man GIVE me the cams, but he shipped it at his OWN expense, and is refusing to accept payment for it.

I am forever gratefull!!!!
