Hi just thinking on how much i can sell my b16a2 engine for, i have decided that i want my jdm b16 in my ek4 :D

i provide the details just let me know how much i can get for it.

Engine has covered about 98k

it will come with a 4.2.1 manifold
the whole engine block and head
ECU basicly evreything for a complete engine drop in. engine is clean no leaks or anything Vtec pulls strong and the engine has been looked after.

just need a idea when i put it out for sale.

K1

If its a complete engine swap with trans/axles/shift linkage/ecu etc then $2500 or less is fair, if its just the engine/ecu then about $1000 or less i'd say, thats a bit high on the mileage. Also i am in America, we pay low prices, final price and value depends A LOT on your location!!!!!

blinxx, hows the weather in the states,

the engine maybe high milage but we all know hondas engine are bullet proof;) my mates b16 was in the 130 k still going strong.

I will be selling everything including gear box axle, wiring etc. im based in the uk so not too sure how much i should get also i think the throttle body is wider so that be a bonus who ever decides to take this off me :D

I know in UK prices are much higher, maybe closer to 2600gbp? I dunno, hopefully someone from UK will chime in...

As for weather there has been a fire going on for a few days now in my area so its very warm/humid, very disgusting weather and ash is everywhere, every morning there is ash on my car :(

B16A2 for 2600gbp? You have A B18c for that money...B16A2's aren't that expensive in the UK.

Oh, makes sense i guess because so many cars have them from the factory over there? in USA only 2 cars had them and they are not that common :( nearly all b16 in USA are import so that raises the price, i suppose in UK is different :nice:

ouch ash on your car every monring i feel your pain, i say put on a car cover to save you cleaning.

JT you are right for 2600 you can get a k20a i think it be below the 1200 mark but dont forget this is for the whole complete package

TBH 1200 is too high. Most B18c4's are for sale for that kinda money.

thats interesting thought they be about the same i know i prob put mine up for sale around the £800 thats a fair price ?

I don't think it's unreasonable, but maybe a bit on the high side. But just try it, you can always go down in price later, if it doesn't sell.

just to give u an rough guide, my mates got a price of a breaker today for a b16a with loom and ecu, no box for £600. so if ur selling compete swap for £800 sound about rite.

**MUGEN** is talking about an A, not an A2. So maybe you can buy that of his mate :D

id say go for the 800 to 1000 pound mark is the gearbox in good nick?if so its worth around 350 so as said id go for a higher price like £900,£1000 as you can always come down in price plus means when someone is bidding and get you down a bit they think they have got a bargin.

£1000?! Really?

If/when I ever get round to changing the lump in mine, I wouldn't be expecting any more than about £400 for it!

yes the gear box is in very good condition what ever the price i sell it for hopfully more then £500 it will fund my project either way :D

B16 prices have gone down as of recently, saw a gearbox (non-lsd) go for about £200 odd and that had been online a while), id say probably around £700-800, at the most.

Dude this post is over a year old , dont know if the guy will have the engine . Lol
