Does anybody know the difference in air flow characteristics between the civic Si, and the Civic Type R heads? I know the cams are different, but as far as the actual head casting, and valve train are there any differences? Ie.. Port work, geometry (angle of port at entrance of combustion chamber), or valves...

Is there a difference in the actual airflow potential between the two heads?

valve seats are cut at a different angle, mild port job on the intake side of the head, casting is the same, this can all be found in the sticky:

basically not worth getting a bare head alone, its the complete head that has its value, the bare head can be achieved with mild port work and a 3 angle valve job on any b series head.
