American green card

Hi everyone I was hoping maybe someone here has some experience when applying for an American green card. I know the easiest way to just to go online and apply but there is so many websites pretending to be the official one but most are just scams! Maybe there is other easier ways to go about getting a green card! The American members here might know more on the topic

But if anyone could shed some light on the topic that would be very helpful

I no there is some lottery thing you pay to enter and they draw out x amount of people who applied and they win a greencard, don't know website but someone else might know it.

Ya i believe its 50000 a year.
 
I am a US Citizen and its not easy to get a green card these days. You need to be sponsered by some one out there or have a specific talent that a us citizen dosn't have. For instance. If Micro soft of IBM wants you to go work for them they can sponser you for it which will help you out.

The old way was to marry a US Citizen but now you have to be married for 5 years before applying for a green card.

If you do a search for us visa's and green cards there will be plenty of sites showing you what you need to do.

Thanks that was helpful! I am aware that at economic times like this it is hard to get in but i have a trade Fitter/welding which would be a help but its not like there is none of them in the US. I suppose the lottery is my best chance. Didn't know i had to have a sponsor. Thanks for the help

I dont know if that has changed in the last couple of years. Take my aunt for example she helped someone getting their Visa through marriage and within months he had his resident alien card. After that you have to wait 5 years to then apply for citizenship. This was almost 2 years ago tho, might have changed now.
 
I would love to get a green card!, I want to apply for one but I don't know if I lose my visa if I don't get it, or something similar heh.

I don't think so, but Guatemala embassy is rite next door to CR so I'll ask for you to.. Going to LA at the ltest next week okay!
