still think vince's EK sounds nicer though.. there is such a thing as over refined. wish the ferrari sounded more Raw..

errrr can honestly say that the 458 does not have a refined exhaust note it's about as raw as it gets....

ONLY the middle exhuast pipe works in normal driving...
all 3 exhausts are only used when the car accelerator is pushed to the floor. then little valves open up in the outer 2 sections to give the sound we all know as ferrari. also they worked meticulously on the X section of the pipes (where the exhuasts from either side of the block meet eachother) to get the sound the sound we are talking about..
Valves in the tailpipes = over refined... also it has a catalytic converter in there...

IMO for an exhuast to be raw it has little or no baffles, NO valves and no cat..

IMO just leave them out that would be RAW

yeah i'm quite familiar with bypass valves.... but quite honestly it ain't quiet even when in it's 'quiet' mode. the windows on the office above the workshop were shaking when it was on idle.
