Aerodeck swap - Ej9

Cant seem to find any information on this anywhere.
Is it possible to do a swap from the
"Aerodeck 1.8 VTI Estate" into my currant "EJ9"

A full donar car would be bought.

yip can be done mate. its the same as doing a mb6 conversion into a ej9.Ull need the aerodecks,wheels,hubs,driveshafts,engine,gearbox,loom,ecu etc so the full car will be needed

Aye I think there is two mounts needed i think i can use the rear gearbox mount but the other two need changed or something like that.
 
it will be plug and play if you get the whole car, if you have to swap the ignition barrel over for the immobilizer to work! get a b16 head and manifolds too to free up some power!!
 
Aye will be buying the full car.
If I bought the b16 head and manifolds would it make much difference.
always an option later down the line.

id concentrate on breathing mods mate like good filter with cold air feed and a full exhaust system before id go swapping heads.One thing i would say is that the gearbox has very long ratio's,if you were to sell it on and got a ek9 or 96 spec dc2 box it greatly improves response,and tegiwaimports.com sell mounts and there cheap enough,better to get new ones as second hand mounts usually have a good bit of wear on them.
 
youd need a rear l bracket and a dual post mount aswell

Aye definitely breathing mods would be at the top of the agenda. im sure with those id be satisfied with the results for a while anyhow.
How much do those gearboxs sell around, i know the ratios are long its just the cost of a new gearbox is sometimes more than id like to admit.
Also aye brand new mounts will be the way forward ii believe. :nerv:

Also another quick question.
a relative has said he would then take the aerodeck off me if I could put my engine and all bits needed into it?
would that be possible.
 
yeah anythings possible haha and ill have a check i mite have one of those brackets laying about
 
Are you sure mate.? I will save me alot of money if It is possible.
will the aerodeck run off my ecu and everything?

Im only guessing the integra, as ive never heard of it within the mb6?
could be wrong though so dont quote me lol
 
They all have it, just the mb6 one has different alignment or something it will fit. But not sure how safe it is. Better to get one from the same shape car. Ek4 or 9 ones will fit
