Advan AD08's

Yes.
Amazing.
Not quite on the level of 888 but last over twice as long and cheaper!

Got them on mine and I love them

Cool, thanks for the replies. Roughly how long would they last on the front or rear?

And how are they over standing water?

:)

Cant put a time or mileage on their wear as a lot of factors effect it but they wear generally good for their performance.

Again any performance tyre isnt great through standing water !

Yeah, I understand that fully. My EK is my daily driver so trying to decide if it's a sensible decision to have AD08's..

I would like to no this too, have two proxies on the front that need replacing so thinking of getting these or another set of proxies.

I daily drive my car and I cant fault them wear wise.

I wouldnt bother only putting 2 on the front unless you have something sticky on the back too .. to do any good tyre justice you need 4 of them

I'm torn between these or the Toyo R1-R's.

I use the R1-R's on the back of my track car but not sure if they would be the best option for on the front of a Civic.
I think they would be the safer option of the two, as they appear to be much more capable of clearing water, but I'm sure the AD-08's would give more traction... decisions!

And.. 55 v 50 profile...

ad08 are slightly better or even try federal 595 rsr's they are excerlent for the money.

I've got ad08's on front of my ek9. Love 'em. Feel so good compared to the michelin pe2's i had on before. Use my car as a daily driver & no probs. They're not as good at clearing standing water as the michelins but they're actually better when it's damp or cold probably due to being softer. There's no way i'm going to put anything else on my ek9 now :))

Echoing all the rave reviews. Not had a huge opportunity with mine yet but first impressions of the miles I've put on are excellent. Not had to face bad standing water yet but even wet weather they are impressive.

regards profile .. I prefer the 195/55 , seems to grip better than the 195/50 as I think the sidewall can be a little too stiff at times. Gives a bit more ride comfort too , bonus !

Cannot compare directly, but at my last outing at Brands Hatch I had new AD08s on the EK and my mate had some new R1Rs on his MX5.

At the end of the day, his tyres looked ****ed, mine still looked like new. They are very soft like R888s and have the wear to match. They are supposed to be very good in the wet though.

Thank you all for the replies, they are all helpful. I've decided to go for a set of the 195 55 AD08's and see how things go on them.

Thanks again for the reviews :)

Let us know how you get on bud as I'm intrested in a set on mine :)

Will do :) I'll have them fitted in 2-3 weeks once my wheels are back from being refurbished

very good tyres I found you have to get alot of heat into them to get the best out of them.
