98 spec itr cams in ek4

i've bought a ek9 ecu to put into my ek4 with the intention of matching them up with a set of ek9 cams but im finding them hard to come across, but i can get a set of 98 spec itr cams fairly easy.
the question is will the itr cams run correctly on the ek9 ecu. also ive heard that the 98 spec itr cams are less egressive than the ctr cams is this true and if so what kind of horse power differences would there be between the two if any.

get the ek9 cams if u can they are more aggrssive than the dc2 ones
 
i know but its just getting a set a bloke was susposed to get me a set but he sold them:angry:
 
ull find a set. try genuine from honda?? not sure what they would cost tho
 
off honda there over 600 yoyos so that'll be my last resort so ill just keep looking around
 
Is that the JDM cams or UKDM cams, because I always thought that the JDM and UKDM camshafts were different?!
 
i have just not long ago bought a set of ctr cams for my ek4 so befor buying them i done some reserch on them and everything i read up about them said that they were more aggrssive than any of the itr cams

thats fine and dandy and thats what everybody wants you to think so that they can sell the CTR cams for such a high price but the truth is that 98 spec ITR cams are the same as CTR cams.
 
what sort of increase in power/torque would you expect with either 98 itr / ek9 cams in an ek4?
 
it is on that list. and what i can make out is itr cams are the same as the ones in the b16a2 i would never have thought that

your just being silly now, please dont say such things unless your absolutely sure, spreading misinformations is one of the worse things you can do on a forum...

the b16a2 cams are the same as the b18c1,the b18c1,s are alot less aggressive that the b18c5 ones
 
blinx i think u are reading the wrong bit u have gone to far down the page.

and i didnt say it was true that the itr and the b16a2 cams were the same. i said from what i can make out

wait, what? if your saying b16a cams are same is b18c1 that is not correct. b18c1 are slightly larger, it should be noted i am referring to usdm b18c engine.
