Hi, Ive always wanted to start my build thread in my spare time so now is the time to share it with you all. Here we go, As some of you may know I bought this EJ9 from a neighbor down the road from me, It needed work on the body and paint etc. When I bought it had a scheme of a matte black bonnet, side skirts, front & back lip. Which to me just ruined the look of the car, But everyone has there own style. :nice:

-This is when I bought it

So after deciding to start on the interior and work my way to the exterior it sounded like a solid start to myself. Managed to pick up a full Ek9 interior through a few contacts.

-So out with the old and in with the new.

After all that was done I picked up a set of Recaro's previously used in a track EK9 for a short time. However there was bolster wear on the drivers seat so I swapped the rails around and put the good recaro on the driver's side ( It can be our little secret ).

-As it looked back then.

After that I managed to pick up A set of Takata Racing Harnesses from the UK.

-What they looked like when installed.

So I sort of lost interest for a month or so and decided to get the affairs in order and get back into it. After seeing A EK9 Type-Rx Dash with the lovely looking carbon fibre double din it was a must have. I went on the hunt for one and came across Nils Aka ( JDMjunkies.ch ) which is a member on this forum. A+ to deal with, Swiped it up and had it in the next few days. :win:

-This is just a beaut to look at.

So after receiving that I decided to do some research on how it was done and pieced it altogether in my head. First of all was to remove the dash which was quite simple.

-Dash removed & Heating Components Being Removed (Follow Pictures Below)

This is where I currently am at this time and I have managed to pick up a complete dash with everything behind it which will be this weekend coming ( Road Trip :D ) which will be worth it ! Will update this with pictures very soon when installing everything once I get my hands on the dash etc. At this time I am spraying the pillar covers Black (C.C. HBLKM03 ) Will have pictures on that soon with the updates.

In the next update I will have the car on axle stands ( Off the Ground ) So that I can convert those nasty drum brakes into Disk brakes. Will be getting bigger brake calipers in future.

-As it sits now ( Wont be for long ) :naughty:

Thats it for now, I will label the tittle with this E.g ( Update #1 ) So that you know it has been updated.

Thanks For reading I hope you like it so far but theres sure to be more to come soon ! :)

Ash I know how it goes, Money doesn't appear to stay to long in the wallet when yeah have a project going :)

This is just a small update. Bought an EK9 Rx Dash, loom and heating system/AC . Now have the centre console fitted to the dash all I need is the double din harness so I can connect it to the loom. After that I will fit it and have more goodies to get.

So thats it for now but theres more to come ;)

Back again with another update :) Now have the heating system in place and all wired up :)

While I was Buying the parts I needed I picked up A Type-Rx Handbrake with the silver button :) Way better looking than the plain old grey one.

So before I put the dash in I decided to get the carpet cleaned as it was in definite need of one, so I took it out and is currently getting professionally cleaned so I will upload A before and after pic of it.

Also got the red door card fabric cleaned and looks like new :D

Meanwhile the garage got A "makeover" as you could put it which was mainly to save space and more cleaner looking ( Still In Progress ) .

Thats it for now unfortunately but will have more updates in A couple of days :D

should rip out that sound deadening when you got the carpet out, ;)

Looking good, keep up the good work :D
