5:1 final drive for S4C or S80 box

yh 4.9 is highest mate,i tried to find a 5.1 but no1 makes them the 4.9 is more than enough tho
 
pretty sure leek9 had a spoon 5.1 FD. Its uber rare and expensive though. As said the 4.9 is plenty short!
 
i have a 4.9 in my box, was from elchunk and still going strong, but now has an ats 3rd 4th and 5th in it, awsome now, have you thought about that?

ur running a 4.9 and a gearset?? whats that combo like?
 
It was ATS that offered the 5.1 final drive but is no longer available.

You may or may not have issues with the high ratio final drives, but you need to be careful as the higher the ratio, the smaller the pinion gear is and, unfortunately, this is also the most stressed part of the transmission.

If you are rallying, you are almost guaranteed to break your final drive.

This is the reason why we redesigned our 4.923 final drive with a different tooth profile and higher grade steel to overcome this issue. All other 4.928 final drives on the market have the same inherent problem as mentioned above.

The B-Series will still be around for a long long time to come. You just have to choose companies that actively apply new technologies to older applications. Not many do this unfortunately.....

8500 in 5th is now 112mph, so yeah its abit low geared for normal driving, but on a stage its great, i fitted a longer 1st gear also so its as good as its going to be unless i go for a complete gearkit.

Only thing letting it down at the moment is the standard b16a2, but thats next on the list :)

what tyres you running for that?
Mfactory now do a 5.1 fd :)
