4x100 Disks

Hello,

I need front brake discs 4x100 282mm. I need something more serious, I have ds2500 pads, but i've used ebc plain discs and they are peace of ****. So I would like to buy something more serious with track in mind. I looked at brembo sport, but they dont make these with 4x100 holes? What can you offer? what could be the lowest prices delivered to Milton Keynes?

Thank you.

I can sort that no problem. I'll drop you a PM with the prices.

For info, I run the Mtec discs I supply on my race car with Ferodo DS2500 pads.
They were fitted for the start of last season, completed 10 rounds of at least 3 races + qualifying 2x 1 hour endurance races, 3x full trackdays and I've started this season and run 6 races plus 2 qualifying sessions, and the discs are still in excellent condition.

I would much prefer to pay £50 4 times a year, than spend £200 on a set of discs that last about the same. I'd be forever trying to conserve them knowing I'd spent shed loads on them!

Discs, like pads and tyres are consumables so they won't last for ever.

Spend less on the disc , and more on the pads.

The ferodo ds2500 are terrible for pad transfer/buildup , causing your pedal hop and aren't abrasive enough to clean up the discs either .

I used brembo max discs on track for the first time recently, was dubious about using them on track considering price, But they held up the track day fine, no warping. and that was about 1hr on track, consistently braking from about 115-120 to 30-40 every lap. Used Yellowstuff pads and for the price I cannot praise them enough. Can feel a bit "woody" on road at times but really come to life the more heat they get. I always recommend Dixcel stuff when money isn't such an issue though.

I have warped motorfactor stuff on the road before. Genuine Honda is much better though.

Correct, it's RWD, and won my last race at Silverstone GP circuit. (4th overall) :D

I've also run them on FWD cars in both standard and upgraded calipers. Again I find they give a good feel and wear with low dust and noise.

Like I say, pads are personal preference. Some can't stand EBC but others love them. Some find standard Mintex pads more than up to the job, others kill them within 5 minutes.

You tend to find a compound you like and which suits your driving style through trial and error. Some people can be very heavy on the brakes and be the last of the late brakers, others are more gentle so different compounds would be better for each application.
