Hi there!

Currently I'm looking for a complete catback for my ek9, I'm thinking on getting the skunk2 70mm catback for my build.

Currently I'm making 177 whp / 120 lb/ft of torque "open header".

Here is the skunk2 70mm catback

For your recommendations please keep in mind that I can only buy stuff in the USA :p

looks sweet man, ive had a full spoon system on my 1st 9... loved it !!!

fujitsubo rm01a system on the dc5 which was sweet although a bit quiet but i enjoy a nice rip :naughty: lol

buddyclub spec 3 on my 9 which was good just a tad loud.... even by my standards :D

and a buddy club spec 4 which is fantastic, nice and refind daily driving and a screamer in vtec, ticks all the boxes imo :p

spoon system is a very good system and also the j's racing 60rs or 60rr

The S2 is a really nice system with no restrictions in boxes or joins, even the removable silencer is not too restrictive. They sound really nice as well. The only issue used to be the baffles breaking away and rattling. This could usually be fixed by a MiG welder poked into the end and the spot welds beefed up a bit.
The system is made by INVIDIA.
Same i cant send you the Kakimoto GT1.0z Race i have here as this is a really REALLY nice system and very under estimated.
Good luck Dunx

I want a cat back system like that except not with the huge tailpipe, why dont spoon make a 2.5" system !!!

As duncan has mentioned, i use to have a gt 1.0 z made by kakimoto and it is a very nice exhaust system. has a rolled lip as a finish and comes out a little angle like the exhausts that go under the lca.

The GT1.0z i have has quite a small rolled end like the Spoon.

Thanks mate, I think the skunk2 is the only option I have

I have a buddyclub spec 3 and i love it! Very light and sounds fantastic (although it is very loud, but a good kind of loud)

Cant stand raspy/tin can sounding exhausts

Defo 2.5" diameter?

Nope, most jdm "brand" exhausts are 60mm in diameter...

The only jdm brand (that I'm aware of) that make 2.5" direct exhausts for honda is RS*R

2.5 inch is 60mm in terms. as 2.5inch imperiall is outside and 60mm metric is inside diameter?

Correct

Lets use a Mugen exhaust as a example:

Don't you think 70mm is too much for the B16 ??? We find 70 mm on F20C and K20 !!!

Yes, 2.5" is ok for up to 2.0 motors with (11.1 - 11.8 compression) naturally aspirated.
