I have one I stripped to make manual. It was working until not long ago lol! The Ek9 and the b16 ek racks are identical I've had both apart counted the pinion gears and the rack teeth compared both and the turning ratio is identical!

I think it's more the servo that is causing the soft pedal. I might keep the bigger MC and change the servo to standard

Thanks, I have no choice now anyway as the car is completely stripped so I will need to bleed the whole system from fresh. Il probably end up doing it to find out that the Master cylinder is goosed. I never thought of bleeding the car whilst the engine is on though so hopefully this might help...
