Yeah that's the way I seen it as well I would have been swapping the running gear to another chassis if I had pursued getting it back from the insurance

The front offside chassis leg is bent towards the engine more than I personally would fix I'm sure it's do able though, and the offside rear quarter is bent plus damage to the pannels as seen in the pictures, including bonnet and boot, and the slam pannel is pushed back a bit

I got mine off euro car parts the rears are the same as those of a dc2 which you can search for on there website, worked out about £100 a side if I remember and you get something £15 back when you drop the old caliper in

I have a skunk2 one on my exhaust cam at the distributor end which has a reputation for going and it does the job, I'm sure when I was looking into its designed to be better than oem with an extra seal in it or something there website will have more info.

It should just slide off, When I did mine I just levered it off from the back of the joint with a big screwdriver, mine stayed in one piece so I could pull on it a bit too though.

Yeah I'm thinking the ignition barrel must have been changed at some point before me owning it which is more worrying!

As it happened I was getting my windscreen replaced today so the guy that's just done that had a lock out kit so he got it open by flicking the door latch, and it would seem it was a flat battery causing all my problems.

Not used my car in a couple of weeeks went to open it last night and I can here the alarm beep, but the lights don't flash as they normally do and the locks stay put and the key I've got doesn't turn in any of the locks but it's been starting the car for the last 18 months I've owned the car...

Is the ek9 steering rack the same as an ek4? need to get another one quickly and looking to get a refurbished one which could be tricky with it being an import.

My ek9s on tenzo-r springs 50mm drop which looks good, and I think it handles fairly well, crashy ride though but that doesn't bother me tbh.
