baffle sump question

Sounds like a plan, the hardest thing for me was getting a decent earth on the earth clamp it kept cutting off

Its not so bad if you wire brush the tin, i was abit hesitent coz id just sprayed mine forgetting i was fitting a baffle a week later, i get carried away

Mondello is the track ill be on. Look it up on youtube. Lots of righthand corners. Might get the weld in baffle kit

Im from dublin so know mondello well enough been out there a good few times, its not a track that will kill an engine straight away, iv had all my VTECs out there on semi and full slicks and never had a problem. Saying that iv an EG6 now that is a full time track car so it will be getting a baffle sump. For the price of the plates these days it makes sense to throw a set in for peace of mind. Seen in your other thread you bought the ex itcc DC2 had that not got a baffled sump already?

yea i may baffle it. nope the car doesnt have one going by the previous owner he was running it a tad higher. im going to baffle it anyway. what class are you running? might be doing time attack myself.

I have a baffled sump on my dc2 and on certain left hand corners which would push the oil to the opposite side of the pan to the pickup, I still see a split second drop in oil pressure on my gauges. This anything to worry about?

Running at the max mark it still occurs?
What's your set up? Coilovers and super sticky tyres?
The pick up is on the left side of the pan isn't it, and the shallow bit is on the right

Tegiwa do baffles for 50Pounds plus delivery.
That would be a good place to get it from!

You mean these:

they are a good start and cheap. If you do a bit of work on them you can make very nice baffles, personally I'd de a bit more welding that a couple of spots here and there.

Yeah that's with oil at the max mark, no I've got some toyo proxies that I'm running until they die as its not sticky tire weather just yet and some spoon springs And dampers.

Yes thats the ones!
You can put more welds on them if you like, but that general design is fine!

Oh forgot to say, Moroso do a complete sump pan with baffles if you want to splash a wad of cash but i dont think their design has much benefit over the tegiwa design tbh.

Other than having turbo oil drain back and temp sensor fitting as mentioned :secret:

Moroso pans are very different over weld in plates. A ton more to offer over weld in plates like trap doors and more baffles.

Weld in plates have their spot with what they do, its that I need more for the type of driving im doing, had weld ins prior.

Here are pics of mine prior to being installed:

Please note the circle cutouts behind the trap doors.
