Going to be changing timing belt on the ek9 this weekend, just wondered how different it is from a b16a2? I have auto data at work but it only has b16a2 instructions.

Thanks

The only differences mate are: The timing belt for the B16b is different, so make sure you have the correct one, are you replacing the water pump as well i presume? i'm pretty sure the tensioners are the same as well, and the brackets for the P/S and all the other auxiliaries are identical as well.. somebody feel free to correct me though.

Yeah i have the correct belt, pump, tensioner ready to fit. I just meant like timing marks, blet goes on anti-clockwise etc.

I have the same software and it only does B16A. You can go off the timing marks what autodata shows as the two engines use the same timing marks.

Yes the belt goes counter-clockwise so when fitting the belt make sure the writing HONDA etc is facing the engine (you look at it backwards when fitted).
