Working on your EK9 Ramp advice

Whenever I go under a car I stack something solid next to me that is higher than at least my face/chest. Ie a spare wheel or two...

Those ramps look alright though

I use these, some that my great grandad made himself many many years ago! Still work great although steep I need to use some wood to help the car up without removing the front lip.

In regards to the oil change, because Honda have put the sump plug in the back of the sump when its up on the ramps it's angled so it gets all the oil out :) Perfect for EK9's!

I much prefer them over axle stands. I trust them much much more!

Use to do the same with axle stands put extra Spare wheels Wood Bricks & a back up jack it was such a faff lol But needed enough back up as possible.

Very pleased with ramps & so nice that I can just drive straight up in seconds & like you say great for draining all oil out of the car.

those ebay ramps say they only have a height of 10" ? thats pretty low is it not ?

when you take into account the wheels are still on the car the body is up another few inches, plus if you jack the rear up near level there would be loads of room then! seriously considering getting these now as i have my own home made wooden ones to get the car up enough to jack it up.

these look good, might buy them:nice:

Highly recommended mate:nice:

Picture I put up doesn't do justice really There is loads of room to work under the car More than I expected:)

Stock EK9 will get up with zero problems But you may have to go on some wood first if you own a very low ek9

I just use axle stands. But always leave the jack under with it just of the load of the car. Only unsafe if you don't set it up properly or if someone knocks it. And if they knock it they will be far worse state than I will with a car on me ;-)
