Team,
As the title says, I am looking for the correct part numbers for the front Windshield/Windscreen & Rear Glass Seals.
I am currently in the process of getting my car completely repainted and am a firm believer of “do it right the first time or don’t do it at all!” Since my engine is being rebuilt (which is for another thread for another time after I’m done dealing with the emotional and financial pain) I figured why not get the engine bay cleaned up. Well, if the engine is out and the engine bay is getting repainted, might as well get the body repainted, right? If we’re getting the body repainted let’s pull the glass from the car and do it right! Also, since I’m getting the car repainted, might as well get the Buddy Club body kit repainted, right? Oh, let me stop, before I get into the engine fortification so I never blow the engine again.
It’s a slippery slope and I believe that I wore the slickest socks to this intentionally and have lied to myself. Don’t worry, I’ll have a deep conversation with my therapist about this. After the car is finished of course.
So back to the original question! I have searched the World Wide Web and I’ve found conflicting answers of whether the JDM EK9 seals are different then the seals offered for other markets, particularly USDM where I am, and if they can be used.
I’m hoping someone has had to replace the seals on their original windshield/windscreen already that con answer this.
Once we figure out the original question, is there a particular website that would be trustworthy to order these seals from?
Thank you in advance for your help!
