Hi just come back after a few months to find my screen cracked on my dc2 where can supply a new screen

Insurance will only replace with a UK spec windscreen, which is thicker and heavier than the JDM one.

You can get a JDM windscreen from Honda still, but it'll be expensive so best to find a breaker.

Think I'll go through insurance .Only just took insurance out on it lol

I heard this was a myth and there is actually no difference in the window thickness, but never seen them side by side.

id be careful with old jap windscreens, remember the autoglass guy telling me that my original EG screen wasnt laminated so would shatter a lot more ( or something along those lines ) and the new ones were much safer if something were to hit it. Could be why jap screens are lighter if it is true

Pilkington glass might be able to help as they do classic cars, i know they do bronze screens for the JDM EG's which arent easy to find

Always wanted to know weights or thickness or some way to tell a "lightweight" type r windscreen from a normal one...

Auto glass can get the windscreen couldn't comment if its Jdm or UK if there is a difference, privately they said it would be over £530 fitted
