dents could be from the bolting to the shock fork compressing them a bit as the dents look like they are on the fronts

Yeh I thought it was the bolt too. strange, makes it look weak?

I bought these, not installed them yet, because the stock suspension is SO GOOD!

I'll probably put them on after winter... or I might just get EIBACH springs. We'll see!

EDIT: What can I spray the coilovers with to keep them in good condition when they are installed. My old F2 coilover suspension started rusting (springs and threads)
I thought of WD40 but that would just wash off with a few splashes of rain....

would a bit of copper grease on the threads stop the rust?? all the crap would stick to that n when you need to adjust it can wipe off with a cloth.

i use Halfords motorbike chain wax, just spray it on the threads of the coilovers and it leaves a nice protective coating that doesn't wash off easy :nice:

Ran into a massive problem while installing these tonight.
Well the installation went fine, but you see those dents in the shock body (see 1st post with pics)
Well those dents I think are stopping me from adjusting the ride height. I spent hours tonight trying to re-adjust the ride height, then hours later only to realise it must be those dents pointing inwards stopping me from adjusting it.

What you reckon people? This has totally screwed me over, bigtime.
Im not happy at all. I've just contacted the seller.

Thought the dents were dodgy, just try & get your money back m8.

Im guessing the previous owner had some sort on aftermarket rear anti roll bar kit that put those dents in. my stock anti roll bar has a good 1" clearance from these dents

Anyone know of any suspension specialists that could possibly sort this out for me??

the bottom part of the shock should unscrew from the rest of the shock body? at leats they did on my D2's,so possibly if you can undo the locking plates with a c spanner you should be able to remove the bottom part that goes into the lower arm, possinly able to sort the dent from the inside enough to allow it to go lower?
