Hi guys!
Last year I was on my mums name for insurance with me and my dad as named drivers and it was £1100, I had just turned 20 the week before!
Iv just renewed it in my own name I'm now 21, my dad as a named driver and my girlfriend who's 23 (I'm brave) I've got 1 years no claims and been driving almost 4 with 1 non fault claim. I managed to get it for £624 + £27 for legal protection! But the company's I tried before (direct line, greenlight and so on) then wouldn't touch me! Seems to be the admiral group were the only people who would insure me and elephant was the cheapest! Was just wondering what others have paid around my age as everybody I've spoke to has seem shocked at the price I got it for!

That's a decent price for your age. I was getting at least £1.5 now it's like 400 which is cheaper than on the mother's polo. But I had 6 points though. I always do a wee cheat when looking for quotes like on confused.com they ask when do you want to start the policy so i say a month later, but when you do buy it, just change it to today's date

That's really not bad! You wee sly dog haha! It's gonna be funny seeing gf drive my car haha. Shitting myself!

It works! It saved my mate a grand on his Audi RS4 last year lol. Haha unable to find a buyer and it's come to this now? :p Good luck to her or you should I say :)

I've had a lot of interest but I don't think I can come to sell it! Now it's all back to standard it's so nice to drive! And I gassed my air con today and it's glorious! Think I'll keep it till next year and pre order the new type r

I'm 19 with 2 years of driving experience as a named driver. Went on the admiral website to quote online for an EK9 and got something like £5k+ :( how are you guys getting cheap quotes?

Well I live on a farm on the outskirts of Dumfries! I can pretty much insure anything under 1k! Can insure an r35 gtr for £1500

£427 for my ek9, k20'd, caged etc.. Pretty much £600 for stnd bmw 320i daily :(

Stop making me jealous now lol

Funny thing is tho, I can get insured on a 14 reg Fiesta ST for £3k which is a lot less than the EK9...

Mine just seems to drop a lot every year! I had a 05 corolla t sport before my 9 when I just turned 19 and that was £800 for the year on my own name which I thought wasn't bad!

I am just under 1k for the year mods declared with my dad as a named driver, I live on the isle of Skye so low crime etc. that's with admiral as well. Weirdly looking ahead for this year it seems to be going up. Should add I'm 23 with 2 years no claims and had my licence for 3.

26, sub £400 fully comp for the year. but then im a nonce and have a limited mileage policy because i never drive it! :p

Is there any way they check your mileage and void your policy if you go over? Iv estimated mine to 6000 but driving round Europe next week and that's 3k 2 weeks in to the policy starting!

Yeah, they can check what the milage was on your last MOT. The only way you can get away from it is to get your MOT garage to put a higher milage then the car is on. But then if you try and see it and some one sees that the MOT HAD been done in the future, then it just looks a bit dodgy
