Hi All

I’m after buying a standard ek9. I’m looking to start some small mods for the time being starting with intake and exhaust.

What’s the best way to go re intake?

Is there any benefit of sticking to the standard air box with some modification? If so, what would you think?

Also, re the spoon arm, is this purely cosmetic?

Is there merit in paying the money for the mugen box?

Thanks
Denis

I have a carbon whale intake, give it a nice deep tone and vtec is louder with it on. Or just run a velocity stack, it will scream!
As for exhaust, I have full straight pipe, headers, center, back box is a Spoon N1.
I can't see the Spoon Arm adding any 'power' or noticeable noise, I think it's purely cosmetics

Standard air box with a cold air feed works well, better than a whale ***** that mainly makes great noise but breathes hot air. Or an AEM V2 like me but at risk of taking in water if you hit a large puddle.

Pretty sure the spoon arm is just for cosmetics and minimal weight loss lol the mugen box is proven to give good gains, 1 of the best intakes you can buy IF you have the money for it. I personally wouldn't unless I had cash to splash.

As above I ran both preferred V2 with hydro sock on it.. but oem box works well..found the whale cock to be junk!

I like the Mugen, also kind of think that whenever you sell it it'll probably be worth the same or more which might be a consideration.

I think the DC2 airbox with cold air feed is one of the best mod that you can make, and cheap
