hi fella's,im thinking about buying a fujitsubo catback system because ive heard alot of good things about them, just want your opinions on what is the best one to put on a ek9,i dont want anything thats gunna be stupidly loud,im after looks and performance and a nice bit of noise on vtec, ive looked at pics and read up on some info and to me the best option would be to go for the RM01A model, what to you guys think?

no such thing as best exhaust, get what you want and suits your needs

i have RM01A, does everything i wanted it to although little louder than id like

a little too loud all the time or just in vtec?

fine on partial throttle but loud when wot before and in vtec but ive had it some years so gotten considerably louder than when it was new

new id say its about 10% louder than mugen twin loop which is regarded as 1 of the quietest aftermarket exhausts but i personally think twin loop is little louder than id like as well so may be perfect for you depending on your perception

have this pic from about 3 maybe more years ago

fit is identical to oem (i mean perfect) and tip size is perfect for the back of an ek9

there isnt that much difference performance wise between any of the top end jap exhausts but fujitsubo is defo up there with the best if not at the top, i spent several months researching before i bought mine

(the oem ek9 exhaust is also superb)

i run the fujistubo on mine its power grabber i luv it. its got a nice shallow tone and a scream when in v-tec. on motorway drivin i cant even tell iv got an after marcket exhaust on cant fault it performance is good to. felt good gains of torque to.

cheers 4 the info and pic iceman, think i probably will go with the RM01A:nice:

iceman do you have any sound clips ????

sorry i dont and would be pointless as due to my setup my exhaust note sounds very different to most honda's and mine is a b16a which again sounds quite different to a b16b

ye that is true they are a bit louder on the b16b. think its got somethin to do with the higer comprestion they are also much deeper. when i put my fujistubo on my ek4 it was not near as loud as it was on the ek9 very good exhaust sounds nice loud enough when giving in some and on the motor way its no louder than oem

out of curiosity, how much does a new RM01A cost nowadays delivered ?

back when i got mine there was 1 or 2 companies that offered to bring 1 in for me but at cost of about £800-900 iirc, there were no official sellers back then and pretty much no one knew anything about them and very very rare in u.k then

i imported it myself in the end but still set me back about £650 roughly delivered i do remember due to size its awkward to ship so had to get it fedex'd to me as i clearly remember it being sent on a fri and got it mon morning (fedex shut weekend) so was overnight service from canada

im guessing with them becoming so popular and big shipments coming in now price must be way cheaper now ?

All of the Fujitsubo offerings for the EK9 are great..

The Legalis R gets my vote as its not so in your face noise wise (I run this on my EK9 - plus, im getting old now!) the RM01A noise is louder than the Legalis R but offers a great sound IMHO..

All of these systems are under £550 delivered through us with your EK9.org discount :nice:

I have a stupid question, which has the better performance, the Mugen Twin Loop or the RM-01. Which one of the 2 gives more hp compared to stock?

i don't think theres a answer to that apart from it does the same thing...

but i would choose RM01 over Twinloop....

There was a group buy on the Teg forum, discount looked good. Probably going to be the Legalis R for me when I upgrade, seems to be the least noisy of all the sound clips I have heard.
