What car next!

I am going to go around a few places and test drive a few cars as said. So much to choose from at this stage. Its going to very hard to not get another honda i think.

Kev whats the reliabilty like on the st? Have you had any problems with it? What kind of price am i looking for a low millaged one?

I am a very fussy person thats whats making this so hard.

Has any one ever owned 09 onwards golf gttdi. I have drove one and they are really comftable, it Pulled well. Also been thinking of a scirocco tsi or the tdi. They have a suspention button for hard soft comfate so that would make like easier but again another thing to go wrong.

mk5 Supra?

Paul Brown Cars sell some great examples. can get a twin turbo manual for 10k.
You don't have to modify it, just keep it mint and it will definitely go up in value in the near future as it is an iconic Japanese supercar, and are getting rarer as time goes on. Only possible downside is fuel economy maybe?

Top of your price bracket but what about an E60 M5 (2005 or 2006) - Been looking at them myself and can pick up a 55 plate in mint condition for between £13 - £14k with 66k miles! Don't know that much about them personally so cannot comment on reliability or working on them as such! :)

I was in a similar position about 18m ago and bought a mk1 Focus RS. Spent a few quid getting it up to scratch this year but it's a decent drive and has an element of exclusivity which is nice. Was considering selling it a few months ago but ended up keeping it and spending some more cash on it! Will consider selling again pretty soon no doubt but can't think of what to move on to that balances speed/fun/image/affordability quite the same.

My thoughts are something along the lines of a Z4M, E46 M3, VX220, Elise etc. which all have their ups and downs for me (BMW's are expensive to run given my low mileage, VX/Elise' are unreliable). Might be worth you considering these options?

very good so far i got mine on 47k on a 58 plate so facelift model full service history with mountune 260 pack on it for 11300 from a dealer (down from 12k) you can get them bit cheaper private but it was a great package for me all round, iv not had any issues so far and done 20k miles n a year and a bit, alot of hard miles to done few track days at oulton, ty croes and silverstone and its handledall of it brill. iv done two sevices since got it and not had 1 issue so far, tyres are main issue as going through them quick but alot of power in fwd, which it handles very well. any more questions ask away il help as best i can. if you prefer pre facelift can get these cheaper but i prefer looks of facelift. only known issue i can think of it that some of the 06 models had a issue with cracking the liners on them so people were upgrading them to darton sleeves or you can upgrade to an rs engine for like 4k and sell old one for maybe 2k.

Yeah, someone I know was running around 300hp and his engine cracked...f00ked big time.

E39 M5 facelift or MK5 Golf GTI. Both well within 10K and u will never look bk

I have both for sale btw:)

I had a Mk1 RS too....that was until the piston ring problem. Luckily under ford warranty

Id never spend that much cash on a mark 5 or a e39 i would rather keep my 9 then spend that on a 07ish plate golf or a w reg m5 lol.

E30!

Something comfortable guys..

Love it but Rare as hens teeth. Not keen on the fact these only come in lhd.

I am aware the m5 is quicker then the 9 but for a w reg performance car i would rather keep my 9 as it wont be a money pit.

Fd is a option, so tempted by a e92 320d but i am still unsure. :(

That R32 is sorted already and the letters G T R and a Single turbo should send a shiver down your spine mate :)
