Hey guys and girls

As requested looking for x4 yokohama ado8 they have to be the non r as my regulations for the race series I am in won't allow the new compound.

Anything considered part worn possiable .16 inch also a possibility

You would certainly have better luck getting these if you posted in the correct forum......the Want To Buy forum! :)

The AD08's are getting very hard to find now as they are discontinued, they are either very expensive if you can find them or they are being imported from different countries. I know grant motorsport have bought a huge amount of them but I'm not sure if they will be willing to sell you a set or even if they have the correct sizes.

Why go for the older AD08 when there is the AD08R readily available which are much better than the older ones? Not too expensive either....

Unfortunately the ad08r is not permitted as a list 1a tyre so at the moment we are stuck with finding ad08 s or iam currently using the Bridgestone s002 but feel they lack the overall speed of an ad08 .

Smithy I am aware there discontinued mate just throwing it out there just in case anyone had a set kicking around I think I spoke with you couple of meetings ago with the black/teal ek

Ah ok thats a different story then......just re read your OP and you mentioned it but i completely overlooked it :oops::oops:

Good luck with finding AD08 as already mentioned they are hard to find since they have been discontinued for the last 2-3 years

Hello mate ! I did wonder if that was you. If I hear of any going in the sizes you need i'll give you a shout. I'll ask about and see what I can come up with.

Theres a guy on the pretty much every facebook that has these, very good prices too, think £240 delivered for the size you want brand new.

hey man hows it going hope all is well , maybe I should scrap the hunt for the ad08s , has anyone ran 16 inch wheels up front with 225 s for some extra grip iam in a lack of grip predicament, there s options but it could turn out to be expensive trial and error

15x8 225 45 15
16x 7 225 45 16

tyre choice is slim but there are a few random makes on the list available like verdestein sport 5 etc

if you could keep your eyes peeled guys would be much appreciated

Yeah I'm good thanks mate, I'll catch up with you at the next race meeting. The tyre regulations are a nightmare mate I did hear a word last year that the new ado8r was going to be in the 2016 regulations. Obviously not tho lol.

I'd be looking to stay with 15" wheels if possible, what's the issue is the car under steering?

Yea swing over mate

Initially the Bridgestone grip well it's 6 /7 laps in they can't handle the heat and start to understeer horrendously. I think the extra weight of the civic in comparison to the 106 is causing a grip issue . Test day with some more geo tweeks needed before I jump in to deep but thinking 15 x 8 upfront lesson the heat cycle across the tyre more thus reducing understeer . It's a black art to be honest need a old dude that smoke s roll up with a gray beard to who nows the secret haha

When your next testing up Combe I'll come up and see if we can work something out. We can trial and error with tyre pressures and geometry settings. Let me know when your free. Pm me for my number if you want
