vtec issue ............help

well folks im stuck in a dark place i had the car dynoed again as its been off the road nearly 3 months due to power issues and im still no better off

its a b16b so on the dyno it is showin that vtec is crossing over at 6k but not takin off till 7.5k /8k
no amount a tunning has helped in this issue

anybody any ideas the work so far to try fix has been ;

new gearbox

new dizzy
new leads
new plugs

new inlet wit sensors/injectors/t.b

new exhaust
new header
new intake

a full head rebuild inc;
buddyclub valves
buddyclub springs
stock retainers
buddyclub spec 3+ cams
new honda oil seals
buddyclub gasket
arp bolts
port and polish

new timing belt
new tensioner
new spring

timing is perfect
oil pressure is perfect
compression is perfect
leak down was perfect

new rad
new fan switch

If everything checks out with the engine i'd be pointing at the map and/or cams are not dialled in correctly.
 
Nice spec you have but very weird problem considering all the things you have checked. Have you checked small thinks like cleaning the IACV or the Vtec Solenoid? Could be the MAP sensor?
 
I have also changed solenoid lads
I changed the clutch around the time this happened used a comp clutch stage 2 cud dis have anything to do with it

mmmm very weird! as Vtec6000 says must be down to the map, cams not dialled in, cam gears, ecu or electrical problem in that area??
 
The issue is Der since befor any off tat work was done all d above was done to try solve it
 
Are you sure vtec is kicking in at all? i see you haven't replaced you solenoid or tried a different ecu. I would put money on it being a electrical problem. I would try a new vtec solinoid and ecu.

Random question buy does your speedo work?
 
well if it was der befor all of the above work took place and after all of it der is no change im lost now at this stage

So the vtec cross over is at 6K but the power gaines from vtec doo not start till much later on?

whos been doing the tunning work for you? a reputable tunner?

does your car idle ok?
 
Its electrical. I can't see it being the map if it was there before. That leads to electrical components that haven't been changed

yes iv had two tuners look at it ....
car idled and drove fine till vtec
gives the impression tat someting is loading up and den going free

Does it sound like it's pulling clean through the revs? If your clutch was slipping you would see a dip in power on the dyno graph
